Aquamatic 5100 Grain Moisture Meter

A Revolution in Moisture Testing

The Aquamatic 5100 is the first major advance in radio frequency (RF) based moisture analyzers in decades. It brings significant improvements in accuracy and only uses one calibration for all grains and oilseeds.

RF analyzers measure the dielectric constant of grain at a specific frequency. Accuracy of older systems is diminished by

variables such as sample temperature, geographic origin, variety, crop year, density and kernel moisture distribution; these do not affect the accuracy of the Aquamatic.

The Aquamatic is based upon work performed at the United States Department of Agriculture that identified 150 MHz to be the optimum radio frequency for moisture measurement in grains. The results were drastic accuracy improvements by measuring the dielectric constant at this higher frequency. The higher frequency coupled with advanced computational power allows for a new calibration technique – the Unified Moisture Algorithm – and serve as the basis for the superior performance of the Aquamatic. It is the most accurate grain/oilseed moisture meter available.
